Trivia (XLIII) - Quotes
"Well, rangefinders are just like fixed gear bikes. Very simple, very silent, very customizable, are preferred to be used on streets, feels like they are integrated with user, users have feeling of being special and different. Only that you could buy about 8 fixed bikes in cost of one leica."

Trivia (XLII) - The viewfinder
Helios Viewfinder Multifinder Mk 2
Seller: British
Buyer: Portuguese
Country of origin: Japan
Sent from: Praia do Norte, Faial, Azores, Portugal
Ship to: Porto, Portugal
Customs Declaration: n/a
Often hard to find, the Helios 35 85 135 multifinder is an optical viewfinder designed for use with Zorki, FED, Kiev, Leica and similar rangefinder cameras - fits any camera with a standard hotshoe.
Brightline frames each marked for 35mm, 85mm and 135mm can be seen, showing the correct framing for these lenses. The 35 works well for my Pana 20mm f1.7.
I bought mine from tunznath at ebay.co.uk. My Poor Man's Leica is now complete I believe.
Item condition: Brand NEW in packaging complete with case - Unused
Sold for: US $38.00
Postage: US $14.00

Trivia (XLI) - Pro Advice
How to set hyperfocal distance with the Panasonic GF2 + 20mm f1.7.
1. Set the desire aperture, eg. f5.6 or f8.
2. Set the auto focus to manual focus.
3. Once it's at manual focus, do not touch the focusing ring and just turn off the camera.
4. Turn on the camera again (do not touch the focusing ring) and it will be at hyperfocal distance relative to the aperture you set.
5. As long as the focusing ring is not touched, you can adjust any aperture value at any time and it will always be focus from infinity towards the aperture value you set.
6. You can off the camera and on each time and it will be at hyperfocal distance (as long as the focusing ring has not been adjusted).

'There never was a single Magnum style or subject. If one were to hazard a definition of the central commitment to Magnum, it would be to document the world as it really is. But to document is to subvert, since reality is the least obvious thing there is.'
