Street Photography Now (V): Cristóbal Hara
b. Madrid, 1946, lives in Cuenca, Spain
'Colour images of the type I do would not be possible without the discoveries of Cézanne and I use things from abstract expressionism, from surrealism, and from de Chirico for the urban landscapes. Avant-garde jazz helps me with dissonance, jaggedness, texture and especially with unconventional structures, which I can use in my books. Literature provides an atmosphere within which to work. I often try to look at things with the eyes of D. Quixote'.
